Now And Then
Group Exhibition
Now and Then was an extensive introduction of both the gallery programme for the New Year (2011) and the depth and quality of secondary market works that would be available for sale. Exquisite examples by American greats; Philip Guston, Robert Motherwell, Tom Wesselmann and Joan Mitchell will be shown alongside European heavyweights Anselm Kiefer, Leon Kossoff, Pierre Soulages and Sean Scully.
The exhibition presented a unique opportunity to view museum quality works in the intimate surroundings of No.29 Molesworth Street, an elegant Georgian building on four floors.
With the modern masters installed on the ground floor, the first floor housed works by Gallery artists Hughie O’Donoghue, Stephen Lawlor, Patrick O’Reilly, Katherine Beug and Joseph Walsh. Among the guest artists on show are Mark Fairnington, Peter Davis, Martin Brown, Kate Davis and Seán Hillen, all of whom went on to have solo shows in the Gallery, later that year.
